February 28, 2007 — Ali Horn scores a game-high 17 points, including the 1,000th of her career, to help Northwestern earn a 41-36 victory over Wilson in the semifinal round of the District 11 Class 3A playoffs. Horn, needing just one point to reach four digits, hits a jumper less than three minutes into the contest to accomplsih the milestone. She also drains a key three-pointer midway through the fourth quarter after the Tigers watch their 15-point lead shrink to six. Megan Miller aids the win with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Lauren Petri adds five steals.
