Senior center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for March 2-6 is:

Monday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, carrots, Greek yogurt or crunchy chicken salad

Tuesday: Barley soup, turkey sloppy Joe, roasted potatoes, cookie or Italian turkey sandwich

Wednesday: Caprese pork chop, brown rice, broccoli, diced pears or salad with beef

Thursday: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, lima beans, apple slices or sweet & smokey chicken salad

Friday: Mustard fish, mac & cheese, stewed tomatoes, broccoli & cauliflower mix, Jello or chicken Caesar pita

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced upcoming events for March 2-13.

Women’s Pool on March 2 at 10 a.m.; Bingo on March 3 at 10:45 a.m.; Scattergories on March 4 at 11 a.m.; Minute to Win It on March 5 at 10:30 a.m.; Senior Games Practice on March 6 at 10 a.m.

Birthday Bingo on March 9 at 10:45 a.m.; Fall Prevention Workshop presented by Achieva Rehab on March 10 at 10:30 a.m.; Yahtzee on March 11 at 11 a.m.; Cards, Ladder ball, Darts on March 12 at 10 a.m.; Nickel-keeno on March 13 at 11 a.m.

Upcoming trips: Wind Creek Casino trip on March 19 and Sights and Sounds June 25 to see the Queen Esther Show.

Public library story hour

The Panther Valley Public Library will be holding preschool story hour Tuesdays at 10 a.m. beginning March 10.

The program is open to children ages 3-5. Children will enjoy a story, do a craft and have a snack.

The program will run every Tuesday until May 19.

Meed’s Memorial

Meed’s Memorial United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., has announced the following schedule at the church.

Sunday services will be held at 11 a.m. Nursery and children’s Sunday school are available during the service.

The church also hosts a clothing ministry from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The next community dinner at the church will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on March 25.
