Vendors, floats needed for Girardville parade

The Girardville Parade Committee is issuing a call for floats, vendors, and participants for the 17th annual Girardville Saint Patrick’s Parade, which commences promptly at noon on March 28.

The giant parade will feature five divisions and at least 16 bands with numerous additional floats, antique vehicles, and special entries. The theme of this year’s parade is the “Salute to our Veterans.”

The grand marshal for the 2020 parade is the Rev. Lt. Col. Edward Coyle, a native of Girardville and national chaplain of the Catholic War Veterans.

Official 2020 parade T-shirts are still available by contacting parade committee chairman Joseph Wayne at 570-590-1826 or by stopping by the Hibernian House on Thursday evenings.

An outdoor celebration will follow the parade at the Hibernian House at Beech and Line streets in the borough.

Any vendors or organizations interested in participating in the 2020 parade, either by marching units and/or floats, can register online at www.girardvilleirishparade.com or by calling Joseph Wayne at 570-590-1826 or Joanne Kitsock at 570-617-0400.
