Andreas VFW Post 5069 will meet at 7 tonight at the West Penn Annex building.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met Feb. 6 at the Tamaqua YMCA with 45 members in attendance. President Melody Weicker opened the meeting with the reading “Look For The Good.”

Gus and Penny Schlorf were added to the sick list. Guests Nancy and Cindy Godanis and guest speaker Jenny Wagner were given warm welcomes. Jenny is from Diakon and is holding in-service sessions for Fall/Risk Assessments on Feb 17, 19 and 21 from 1-3 p.m. These are free to all seniors.

March activities include Healthy Steps in Motion and Home Health Safety Checks.

The group is open to anyone 55 or older, meeting at 1 p.m. every Thursday at the YMCA. The next meeting will be held on Feb. 13.

Primitive Methodist

Pastor Rick Clemson will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Sunday in American Primitive Methodist Church. Sunday school classes are held at 9:30 a.m.

Every Thursday from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Hope In The Mountains Nar-Anon Family Group meets at 57 Hunter St. If you have questions or are interested in attending these meetings, contact Mark at 570-952-5098.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Ralph Saunders will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Calvary Evangelical Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes are held at 9:15 a.m.

There will be a Sunday evening service of praise and Bible study at 6:30 p.m.

Prayer meeting will be held on at 7 p.m. Feb. 19. Call 570-668-9111 to place prayer requests or praise before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
