Panther Valley Elementary will be open Tuesday, according to a post from the school district.

The school was closed Monday because of the train derailment.

Buses will have access to the elementary school via Mermon Street in the morning from approximately 6:45-8:30 a.m. and access for dismissal from approximately 2:30-3:30 p.m.

All cars will need to use the posted detour.

The road will be closed the remainder of the time. Reading Railroad police and fire police will be there for assistance.

The district asks that children assigned to a bus should ride the bus to avoid increased car traffic.

If you need to pick your child up early please allow for extra time to follow the posted detours.
