Pleasant Valley names its hall of fame inductees

Pleasant Valley inducted an alumnus, coach and past basketball team into its hall of fame for the 2019-20 school year.

The new inductees were honored at a game last January.

While a student at Pleasant Valley, Geoffrey Roche held the position of president of its junior statesman chapter. He also participated in the debate club and marching band.

Roche graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 2004, going on to Moravian College and earning a degree in political science. He obtained another degree, this time a master’s in public administration.

In the past, Roche served as executive director of strategic health care initiatives at Harrisburg University and director of public and government affairs at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono. Through the latter, Roche helped develop a partnership between the hospital and East Stroudsburg University.

Roche previously won Moravian College’s Emerging Leader award and has been on the Lehigh Valley Business “Forty under 40” list. In 2013, he was National Rural Health Association’s rural health fellow.
