Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Ream, pastor.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages; fellowship time 10:15-10:45 a.m.

Wednesday: Youth group, 6 p.m. at church, Prayer meeting, 7 p.m.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, Blakeslee Boulevard, Lehighton 5 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Midweek Bible study: Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Currently studying the book of Revelation.

Women’s fellowship breakfast: Third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.

St. John’s

St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Mahoning, 826 Mahoning Drive W., Lehighton

Worship: Jan. 19, 9 a.m.

Winter Walks with Jesus: Adult Faith Formation immediately following worship on Sunday.

Sanctuary Choir: Practice for 15 minutes on Sunday, following the worship service.

Grief Support: Monday, 6 p.m. in the family room.

Church council meeting: Monday, 6:30 p.m. in the church office.

J.O.Y. Group Meeting: (Just Older Youth) Tuesday, 11 a.m. Bring a lunch. Dessert will be provided. We will do chair yoga at the meeting.

Book club: Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. in the family room.

Trinity highlights

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., with Holy Communion begins at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free wafers are available for those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Joshua Krenz assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

The annual congregational meeting will commence at 10:45 a.m. All yearly reports of committees as well as reports of officers and organizations are on the agenda, as well as delegates to the June synod assembly will be elected. There will be time for discussion of issues that arise at Trinity. Attending the congregational meeting is important to the health of the congregation. Snow date is Feb. 2. Sunday church school classes for students ages 3 through sixth grade will resume Jan. 26.

Students in grades 5-12 are invited to participate in food, conversation and youth group activities from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 19 and 26 at the second floor youth room. Vicar Joshua Krenz is the youth adviser.
