Lioness Lions Club donates boxes to children

The Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club recently donated Felicia-Sue Boxes to St. Luke’s Lehighton Campus. The boxes contain several items for children who may be visiting the Emergency Department to help relax and calm the child during care and treatment. The boxes were named after a member when she was younger and had to visit a specialist several times a week and was provided a similar box. Felicia-Sue Anthony says that she is honored to have such a box named after her. She said she remembers how the box that was given to her back during treatments, relaxed her during each visit. She hopes the Felicia-Sue boxes do the same for other children as they did for her back then. The club will continue to supply the children with boxes as needed. All supplies are donated by club members. From left: Emergency Room Director Marsha Miller Moyer, Lion Felicia-Sue Anthony and Lion Sue Eremus Anthony Felicia, Sue’s mother. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
