Pocono Raceway staff members distributed teddy bears to children in the Pediatric Inpatient Unit at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital.

The event was held in celebration of The NASCAR Foundation’s third annual “Speedy Bear Brigade” on Dec. 12.

A national program, “The Speedy Bear Brigade” included 30 hospital visits across the country on Giving Tuesday. It brought much-needed smiles to the faces of children who are spending the holiday season in the hospital. About 1,000 bears were distributed this year.

Pocono Raceway and Lehigh Valley Health Network are longtime partners in various community-based programs. Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital has been an ongoing supporter of the Raceway’s Kids Club, annual Kids Day and Kids Zone.

Additionally, the Raceway and its fans have donated more than $100,000 to Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital from their annual 50/50 raffles held during major NASCAR events at the track.
