Wife reports finding child pornography on man’s computer

An East Stroudsburg man was arrested on child pornography charges on Thursday, one day after his wife and son found a “significant amount” of pornography on the computer in his home.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said Richard Brian Feely, 46, of Lower Lakeview Drive, Middle Smithfield Township, was arrested at his place on employment, arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Brian R. Germano and committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Police said Feely’s wife arrived at the barracks on Christmas night around 11 o’clock to report her son found the child pornography on the computer at their house while home for the holidays. Police said the son had clicked on a file folder which contained videos of child pornography.

The woman confirmed the computer belonged to her husband and gave consent to troopers to retrieve it from the residence.

They said a search warrant was then obtained the next day by troopers from the Stroudsburg Station Criminal Investigation Unit and a preview examination of the computer was conducted by Detective Brian Webbe of the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, which uncovered a “significant amount” of child pornography. Feely was charged with five counts of child pornography and five counts of criminal use of a communication facility. Bail was set at $25,000.
