Three people were injured in a crash about 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Fires crews from Hauto, New Columbus, and Nesquehoning responded, but there were multiple injuries. The Lehighton ALS transported all three victims to the hospital.

According to reports at the scene, a utility truck driver noticed a Jeep swerving between lanes and attempted to avoid the collision by crossing into the opposing lane and driving onto the shoulder of the road. The Jeep was driving in the opposing lane and swerved back into the proper lane, colliding into the side of the truck and rolling it over.
