Library hosts massage, healing sessions

Feeling stressed out? Come to the Palmerton Area Library and let a group of area practitioners’ massage and relax your body to bring you back to healing and return your calm.

Healing during the Holidays, a fundraiser event, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Upper Gallery in the library, 402 Delaware Ave. in Palmerton.

Six area expert therapists and practitioners will be on hand to give either a chair message, hand massage or skin analysis with a mini facial. They will perform reflexology, a massage to specific reflex points of the feet to revitalize and refresh the body.

Two Reiki practitioners will be on hand to demonstrate the Japanese energy healing that balances the body’s energy creating a feeling of calm and peace.

The event is free to the public. Donations for the library will be accepted for each treatment session.

Sessions are on a walk-in basis with no appointments needed. Due to the calm and relaxing nature of the event, grown-ups only participation is suggested.

Tickets will be sold for a basket raffle of over 35 different themed baskets and area businesses gift certificates.

Tickets for the raffle can be purchased throughout the week and the day of the event.

All the proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the library. Door prizes will be given away during the afternoon event.

Gift certificates can be purchased from any of the practitioners that day.
