Police investigate Schuylkill burglaries

State police at Frackville are investigating burglary and thefts: • The break-in occurred on Nov. 12 at a residence along Little Mountain Road in Union Township, Schuylkill County. Troopers said a suspect was seen inside the residence by a 75-year-old man from Ringtown. The suspect was described as wearing a black ski mask, blue medical gloves, a camouflage jumpsuit with a black sweatshirt underneath, black shoes with green laces. The suspect had a rip on the right leg of his pants.

• The theft occurred at a residence along North Street, in East Union Township, Schuylkill County. The 18-year-old female victim from Oneida said a garage on the property was entered and the following items were taken: 2-ton floor jack-red, Mac tools brake caliper set, Mac tools ratchet set, DeWalt screwdriver and bit tool set and a DeWalt socket set. Total value of the missing items was set at $455.

The theft occurred sometime between Nov. 7 and Tuesday.

• Police said a property at 227 Market St., in Cumbola, Blythe Township, was entered and tools and equipment, valued at $4,870 were taken. Some of the items taken included a pool table with sticks and ball set; Stihl chain saw, portable scaffold, space heater, air conditioner, DeWalt impact drill, portable dish washer, DeWalt reciprocating saw, John Deere self-propelled mower, portable electric mixer, Kenmore microwave and a RCA stereo/turntable/cassette. Troopers said the victim is a 43-year-old woman from Kresgeville, Monroe County, who rents the property. The break-in occurred sometime around Oct. 25.

• A 52-year-old woman from Ringtown, reported a shed on her property along West Main Street was entered and four wooden handled axes valued at $40 were removed. The theft was reported on Nov. 14.

• State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of over $4,000 worth of tools and other items from a Schuylkill County site.

Troopers said a representative of the Kramer Power Equipment Company, of Schuylkill Haven, reported a padlock was cut off a trailer the firm owns, located along at 2 Kiehner Road. The incident was reported on Thursday.

Removed was numerous pieces of equipment and tools with an estimated total value of $4,869.50. Among the items taken of high value was an air compressor, valued at over $1,300, Craftsman tools, valued over $600, and an assortment of other tools valued at over $900.
