A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violating the state liquor code.

Liquids & Dreams LLC, 219-221 N. First St., Lehighton, known as 1st Street Sports Bar, was cited on Nov. 13. The citation states on Sept. 1, and 4 the business sold alcoholic beverages after its restaurant liquor license expired on Aug. 31 and had not been renewed and/or validated.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
