November 9, 1979 — Don Wassum catches a pair of touchdown passes and comes up with an interception on defense to help Slatington post a 19-14 Centennial League victory over Pleasant Valley. Wassum’s 45-yard scoring completion in the third quarter snaps a tie and gives the Bulldogs, coached by Dick Snell, the lead for good. The senior receiver also snares a 4-yard TD toss from Jeff Shuey. Tony Jordan, who adds an interception, accounts for the other Slatington score by recovering a fumble and returning it 45 yards.
