Class of 1970

Members of the Jim Thorpe graduating Class of 1970 are beginning to make plans for their 50th reunion. Members of the class interested in helping with the planning are invited to attend a meeting on Nov. 21. It will be held at the Boulevard Restaurant starting at 10 a.m.

Halloween party held

The Sunday school of St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, held their annual Halloween party last week in the church social hall. Prizes were awarded to the following children: most original, Snow Wolf Princess, Sienna Sargent; ugliest/spookiest, zombie, Rolan McAnulty; prettiest/cutest, Elsa, Eva Highland; funniest, Dory and Nemo, Gunner and Aria Hilliard; and judges’ choice, wrestler, Wyatt McAnulty. Sunday school teachers served as the judges.
