The Schuylkill League recently announced its boys soccer all-stars.

Jim Thorpe’s Thor Huth was named one of the league’s all-state selections, while two other Olympians were named to the Division 1 First Team.

Members of the league champions to gain first-team honors included senior forward Alex Putt, and junior midfielder Chris Condly. Head coach Mike Dudak was also named the Schuylkill League PSCA Class 2A Coach of the Year.

Other Times News area players to be recognized on the First Team were Tamaqua’s Tyler Steigerwalt (senior forward), Wyatt Zeigler (senior defender) and Mike Shlanta (junior midfielder), and Lehighton’s Carter Strauss (junior midfield) and Drew Lorenz (senior defender).

In Division 2, a pair of Weatherly athletes received first-team status. They were seniors Elijah Derr (midfielder) and Nick Pleban (defender).
