October 24, 1970 — Pleasant Valley scores the first time it has the ball and never trails, as it posts a 22-6 victory over Weatherly. Jimmy Cameron completes a 63-yard drive on PV’s opening possession by reaching the end zone on a 6-yard run. The Bears extend their advantage in the second frame when Tony Castellaneta recovers a fumbe and returns it 52 yards for a touchdown. Dave Hayes sets up the final Pleasant Valley score when his blocked punt leads to a Glenn Hawk 8-yard TD scamper. Hawk also intercepts a pass to stop a Wreckers’ scoring threat.
