Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday rally day worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy Ream, pastor, and guest speaker Pastor Keith Miller.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages; fellowship time 10:15-10:45 a.m.; preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Fellowship luncheon following service.

Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Lehighton begins a celebration of church history.

In October 1894 and with the leadership of the Rev. J.P. Miller, it was resolved that a new society be formed to be known as Bethany United Evangelical Church of Lehighton, and after a year of meeting at the Presbyterian Church, a new church edifice was dedicated on Oct. 11, 1895.

Wednesday: Youth group, 6 p.m. at church, Prayer meeting, 7 p.m.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, Blakeslee Boulevard, Lehighton 5 a.m.; choir practice, 7 p.m.

Friday: Wrapped in Prayer Ministry, 7 p.m.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Kevin McGraw. It is a place for a fresh start with God.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; fellowship following service.

Harvest Festival: Oct. 30 from 6-8 p.m. Games and candy for all children.

Midweek Bible study: Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Currently studying the book of Revelation.

Men’s fellowship breakfast: First Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m.

Women’s fellowship breakfast: Third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m.

Trinity highlights

Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., begins at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free wafers are available for those with allergy issues. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. The color for the day is red. Worship attendees are asked to wear red. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.

Sunday church school for students ages 3 through sixth grade begins at 10:45 a.m.

Trinity and Thrivent Member Network are joining in the collection of pop tabs from soft drink or soup containers. The collection will continue through the end of November to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. A box is available in the narthex or tabs may be dropped off at the church office during the week.

Appointments are available with Pastor Moore for those desiring to seek membership or arrange a baptismal date at Trinity. Please contact the church office in advance at 610-377-4303 to register.
