Carbon County court — Parole/probation revocation hearings

Carbon County judges conducted parole/probation revocation hearings recently on petitions filed by the adult probation office against defendants for violating the conditions of their parole/probation.

, 29, of Coaldale, had probation revoked in two cases involving charges of identity theft and access device fraud on petition of probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions by not making a concerted effort to pay court costs, failing to make restitution and failing to complete drug and alcohol treatment.

Judge Joseph J. Matika resentenced him to serve six to 12 months in the county prison effective June 28. President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II resentenced him in a second case to serve three to six months in prison, concurrent with the first sentence.

Jocelyn Tiglio

, 24, of Weatherly, had probation revoked on a resisting arrest charge on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by being arrested by state police at Hazleton on April 21 on drug charges, endangering the welfare of children and public drunkenness.

Matika resentenced her to serve 131 days to 12 months in prison effective April 21.
