Penn State to host Flowering Tree Identification workshop

Penn State Extension will host classes on Flowering Tree Identification for Green Industry Professionals and Home Gardeners.

The classes are open to anyone wanting to learn more about flowering trees that are good choices to use for landscaping. Sessions will be held at the Janssen Center at Penn State Berks campus, Reading, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Nov. 8.

Dr. David Sanford, a Penn State horticulture professor, will cover 30 different trees, with emphasis on trees that are typically available in the nursery trade. There is a cost, which includes refreshments, lunch and handouts.
