A Bronx, New York, woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer in the parking lot of a Walmart store in the Poconos.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 8:05 p.m. Saturday officers conducted a traffic stop on an unregistered vehicle in the parking lot of the Walmart store in Mount Pocono. During the course of the investigation into multiple vehicle code violations the operator, identified as Eniya Bey, 22, rolled the driver’s side window up pinning the arm of an officer in the window. After refusing commands she was forcefully removed from the vehicle. She was placed under arrest and taken to the county prison in Snydersville for processing and arraignment.

She has been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and reckless endangering, both felonies; resisting arrest, simple assault and other misdemeanor and summary offenses.
