After falling behind early, the Panthers take advantage of Jim Steber’s fumble recovery to take the lead. Early cashes in from four yards out, and a Ed Gargula pass to Ron Swider on the conversion puts Lansford, coached by Dick Forster, ahead for good. Early adds insurance in the second half when he fields a punt and races 55 yards to the end zone.
