The three Democratic clubs in the Panther Valley area — Lansford, Nesquehoning and Summit Hill — will hold a joint meet-and-greet event on Thursday at the Nesquehoning Recreation Center, 335 W. Railroad St., from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The event is free.

Democratic candidates for county offices will be on hand to meet the public and will offer comments during a program that will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Food and refreshments will be available.

Democratic candidates for borough offices in the three towns, as well as those running for positions on the Panther Valley School Board, will be announced.

The public is invited to attend and mingle with the candidates to learn more about their campaigns.
