Summit Hill police charge man in domestic incident

A Summit Hill man is facing charges following a domestic incident.

Borough police said at 2:26 a.m. July 6, they were dispatched to a residence along East Ludlow Street for a domestic dispute. On scene the officers were met by a woman who said she had a dispute with her boyfriend, identified as Brian Snyder, 46. Snyder fled the residence prior to the arrival of police after reportedly cutting his wrist with a piece of glass.

While police were still on scene Snyder returned to the home with a blood-soaked shirt wrapped around his left wrist.

Officers attempted to take Snyder into custody but he struggled with them. Police used a Taser on him to bring him into custody.

Snyder was taken to the St. Luke’s - Gnaden Huetten campus in Lehighton, for an involuntary psychiatric commitment. He was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment.
