October 4, 1975 — Phil McGarry scores two touchdowns to help Palmerton gain a 21-8 victory over Jim Thorpe. McGarry, who collects 70 rushing yards in the contest, gets the Blue Bombers on the board in the second quarter when he catches a 12-yard TD pass from Joe Kavusak off a faked field goal attempt. McGarry adds some insurance in the final frame when he reaches the end zone on a 14-yard run. The winners, coached by Bill Dukett, also receive a 5-yard TD run from Bob Kolnik. Jeff Shupp contributes 94 rushings yards, while Rich Steigerwalt and Scott Frantz add interceptions of defense.
