Lehighton High School Class of 1957 held their 62nd reunion at the Lehighton Legion on Sept. 21. The Class of ’57 gives a scholarship out every spring at the Awards Program in the amount of $5,000, $2,500 to a male and $2,500 to a female in the current graduating class who meets the criteria. They have been doing this since 2007 and have already given $65,000. The class hopes other classes from Lehighton will follow in their footsteps with a scholarship fund for financial assistance to future college students.
