Faculty and friends of late Tamaqua Area High School teacher E. George Willing are presenting an annual scholarship in his memory.

The scholarship has been announced by the E. George Willing Memorial Committee, which consists of members of the Tamaqua high science department and friends of the late chemistry teacher on the faculty.

They include Tom Ackerman, Bob Blue, Joe Riccette, John Mateyak, Larry Capozzelli, Mike Cooney, Joe Lankalis, Mark Solon and Roseann Weinrich.

The award will go to the Tamaqua high school student with the highest average after four years of advanced science who will pursue a career in science.
