Woman cited after Carbon crash

Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 6:53 p.m. Sept. 8 on White Street in Bowmanstown.

State police at the Lehighton barracks identified the injured as Jennifer J. Krebs, 38, of Kunkletown, and Joseph R. Spack, 56, of Palmerton, the drivers of the vehicles, as well as a minor child who was a passenger in Krebs’ vehicle and was seat-belted in the rear of that vehicle.

Police said Krebs complained of back pain and was evaluated at the scene by Lehighton Ambulance personnel but refused a medical transport.

Spack and the infant were also treated at the scene too.

Police said the incident happened when Krebs, driving a 2017 Ford Explorer, made a left-hand turn onto Fireline Road to travel east.

The vehicle, which police said was traveling the wrong way on Fireline Road, collided with a 2010 Ford Edge operated by Spack.

Police said the impact caused the Edge to hit the guide rail while the Explorer continued for approximately 1 mile before the driver was able to bring it to a controlled rest.

Police said Krebs was cited in the crash.
