St. John Lutheran

The Rev. Phyllis Wolford will officiate at the 9:15 a.m. Sunday service in St. John’s Lutheran Church with holy communion. Sunday school class is held at 10:30 a.m.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m.

Valley Christian Preschool starts Tuesday. Guild meets at the Social Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 5.

Calvary Lewistown

Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church has all summer worship at Lewistown Valley Tabernacle, 614 Valley Road, Tamaqua.

The 106th annual Campmeeting services continue up to and including Labor Day with evangelist, singers, musicians Larry and Tamla Leckrone of Norman, Indiana.

Schedule of services:

Aug. 29, 7 p.m.

Aug. 30, 7 p.m., followed by pie night fellowship.

Aug. 31, 7 p.m.

Sept. 1, 9:30 a.m. Sunday school, 10:25 a.m. worship with Leckrone Ministries, singing, trumpet solos and message, 2:30 p.m. gospel singing group Witness, from Easton, 6 p.m. evangelistic service with Leckrone Ministries, followed by make your own hot dog fellowship.

Labor Day Monday, 10:30 a.m. praise, worship and sharing, 2:30 p.m. gospel singing group, Mended Heart of Pine Grove, 6 p.m. last evangelistic service of 2019 Campmeeting with Leckrone Ministries. Food will be available for purchase this day.
