A beloved dairy store in Palmerton closed its doors for good this week.

On Tuesday, Hahn’s Dairy - located at 1770 Hahns Dairy Road - had an “out of business sign” placed in its storefront window.

The news came as a surprise for some of the dairy’s frequent shoppers, who expressed shock and disappointment on the business Facebook page.

“I’ll miss their chocolate milk and ice tea and orange drink,” one user wrote, “it was the best in the area.”

“So sad,” another user posted, “been going there since I was a kid.”

The store’s owners declined comment for this article. Hahn’s would have celebrated its 50th anniversary this September.
