Former Temple University and Lehighton Area High School standout Sarah Keer was tabbed to lead the Downingtown East field hockey program this fall. Keer was a five-year letter winner at Temple, playing in 80 games at forward from 2013-17.

While at Temple, Keer recorded 11 goals, including three game-winners, and nine assists for 31 points.

Keer recently earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and Master’s degree in Strategic Marketing and Advertising (2018) at Temple, earning honors on the Directors Honor Roll (2014-17), Big East All-Academic Team (2014-17), Big East Weekly Honor Roll (October 2017), and Temple Scholar-Athlete of the Month (October 2017).

Prior to starring at Temple, Keer had a stellar career at Lehighton Area High School where she was named Times News Field Hockey Player of the Year her junior and senior seasons, both of which she served as captain, and was part of Lehighton’s state championship team in 2009.
