Montgomery County man facing assault charges in Pocono incident

A Montgomery County man is facing domestic assault charges in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on May 28 they received a call from East Norriton police in Montgomery County regarding an assault victim. East Norriton police advised they were at Einstein Hospital with a 16-year-old girl who said she had been assaulted in the Arrowhead Lakes development by a man identified as Robert Michael Dragone, 60, of East Norriton.

The girl told Pocono police the assault occurred at 190 Towanda Trail, Pocono Lake. She said she had been punched in the face by Dragone resulting in a broken nose.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Dragone charging him with aggravated assault, a felony; and misdemeanor charges of simple assault and harassment.

He turned himself into the office of District Judge Richard Claypool in Pocono Pines, where he was arraigned on the charges. He was released on $15,000 unsecured bail.
