July 2, 1995 — Jeremy Stewart’s bases-loaded single that ricochets off the first base bag gives Tamaqua a 3-2 walk-off win over Beaver-Banks in a District 18 Little League tournament game. An Erik Wertman double, walk and hit batter fills the sacks and sets the stage for Stewart. Stan Dick (Dakosty) scatters five hits and strikes out 10 to gain the pitching win. Dick also collects two hits, one a double, and knocks in two runs. Wertman also finishes with two hits, while Matt Benza chips in with a hit and a run.
