In the execution of a warrant search, state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks took two men into custody on June 21. Both were transported to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, to be arraigned on active warrants.

Police said the Troop L ProActive Criminal Enforcement Team received information that a known wanted suspect, Steven Lucas, 47, of Joliett, was living on Sweet Arrow Lane Road in Washington Township. Police said he was being sought for 11 felony and misdemeanor warrants from Schuylkill, Lebanon and Dauphin counties.

Police said the PACE team, accompanied by troopers and deputies from Schuylkill County, converged at the address and took Lucas into custody without incident. Police said Lucas attempted to conceal his identity by wearing a woman’s wig.

Police also located Christopher George, 41, of Pine Grove, at the scene. He was wanted on multiple active warrants issued against him in Schuylkill County.
