June 27, 2011 — Shane Snisky collects three hits and knocks in four runs to help the Jim Thorpe Bruins capture the Carbon County Junior Babe Ruth championship with a 14-5 victory over the Jim Thorpe Royals. Snisky delivers a two-run single during a four-run third inning, and adds another two-run hit in the sixth. Nick Montero contributes two hits and a run, while Ian Sterling adds a pair of hits and an RBI. The Bruins, coached by Sean Sterling, also receive a hit and three runs from Bryce Micciche, and a hit, two runs and four stolen bases from Pat Duvigneaud.
