State police at Frackville

State police at Frackville reported the following:

• Police released the result of a DUI checkpoint conducted along Route 61 in Cass Township recently.

Police stopped 276 vehicles. Five drivers were DUI tested, with two were arrested for suspicion of DUI.

One was arrested for possession of illegal substances, Seven warnings and eight citations were given.

• Coaldale woman is facing drug charges following her arrest at a motel in Schuylkill County.

Police said at 12:16 p.m. June 12 troopers responded to the Motel 6, located at 701 Altamont Blvd. in West Mahanoy Township, to assist personnel of the Schuylkill County Adult Probation office. Upon arrival it was discovered that Karen Rimsky, 34, was in possession of a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Charges will be filed, troopers said. Records indicate Rimsky is currently an inmate in the county prison in Pottsville.

• A Schuylkill County woman is the victim forgery.

Police said a 75-year-old woman from Orwigsburg had a personal check of hers forged for $225 by an unknown person. The incident occurred on June 5. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.

• A woman is facing a charge of harassment following a domestic incident.

Police said Roxanne Deangelo, 46, of Mount Olive Boulevard, Shenandoah, West Mahanoy Township, was arguing with her husband when she kicked him in the groin with her right foot.
