Samantha Lyn Cerimele, daughter of John and Barbara Cerimele of Lehighton, graduated from Sydney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia on May 22.

Cerimele was the recipient of the William Potter Memorial Prize in Clinical Medicine, which is awarded to the graduating student with the best performance in clinical medicine, for attaining the highest average in the final two years of medical study.

Cerimele will complete her residency at Brown University/Butler Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.

Samantha is a 2015 graduate of the University of Scranton and a 2011 graduate of Lehighton High School.

She is the granddaughter of Robert Pecha and the late Barbara Pecha of Nesquehoning and the late Pasquale and Patricia Cerimele, also of Nesquehoning.
