Primitive Methodist

Pastor Rick Clemson will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday in American Primitive Methodist Church. Father’s Day will be celebrated. Sunday school classes are held at 9:30 a.m.

A Bible study on the book of Revelation will be continuing on June 18, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the main Sunday school room.

Hope in the Mountains meetings are held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays. This is a Nar-Anon Family Group.

Bloodmobile

An American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. June 19 at Tamaqua YMCA, 1201 East Broad St.

Anyone 17 or older who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in general good health is eligible to donate blood.

Walk-ins are welcome or you can schedule an appointment by calling 800-733-2767 or going to www.redcrossblood.org.

Summer Reading Program

Tamaqua Public Library is holding the following summer reading programs:

Young Adult Summer Quest Program: Began June 7 from 3 to 4:30 pm. The program is held every other Friday at the same time. Dates for the event are June 21, July 5 and 19, Aug. 2and 16.

Summer STREAM Quest Program for ages 6 to 12: Theme this summer is, “A Universe of Stories.” Program is on a Monday, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. or 6 to 7:30 p.m., beginning June 17 and running for six consecutive weeks.

Summer STREAM Quest Program for ages 0 to 5: Theme this summer is, “A Universe of Stories.” Program is on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m., beginning June 18 and running for six consecutive weeks.

Adult/Young Adult Book Discussion Group meets every month on a Monday night, usually the last Monday of the month. June’s meeting is at 6 p.m. on June 24. The book that will be discussed is Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m.

Zion and Calvary will hold a joint Bible School at the Lewistown Valley Tabernacle on Valley Road the week of June 17, from 6-8:15 p.m.

Calvary Lewistown

The Rev. Susan Moore will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Calvary Evangelical Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. There will be special music to celebrate Father’s Day. There will be no Sunday evening service this week.

Calvary Methodist and Zion Lewistown will hold a combined Vacation Bible School the weeks of June 17-21 at Lewistown Valley Tabernacle, 614 Valley Road, Tamaqua. There are classes for all ages, children through adults.

CEF (Good News Club) day camp will be held at Lewistown Valley Tabernacle June 24 to 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
