A Lackawanna County man died in a one-vehicle crash at 2:06 p.m. Tuesday. along Interstate 81 in Cass Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Donald J. Bryk, 48, of Clarks Summit, was southbound driving a 2011 Ford F250 truck when the vehicle hit the guide rail in the median and traveled along the rail before traveling down an embankment and hitting a tree.

Bryk was pronounced dead at the scene by a county deputy coroner, troopers said.
