June 11, 1988 — Marian’s Bob Agosti runs for a 14-yard touchdown in the first quarter to help the North defeat the South, 20-7, in the Schuylkill County Football all-star game. The Colts’ Dave Lewis also snares a 47-yard pass in the opening frame to set up the winners’ first score — a 3-yard TD run by Mahanoy Area’s Ziggy Kuczynski. The North squad, coached by Mahanoy’s Bill Fazio, intercepts four passes in the contest, including one each by Tamaqua’s Randy Clemson and Dennis DeCarlo, and Panther Valley’s Jack Ruzicka.
