Lehighton’s Isabelle Meckes will continue her academic and athletic career at DeSales University, where she will participate in track and field.

Meckes, who participated in the discus and shot put events, was a District 11 champion in the discus for two years and was undefeated during the regular season for three years. She is a school record holder and was a league champion in the discus.

In addition to track and field, Meckes also participated in volleyball for three years and soccer for one season.

Meckes is a member of the National Honor Sociey and FBLA.

The daughter of Brian and Leslie Meckes, Isabelle plans to major is business at DeSales.
