The Carbon Monarchs cruised to a Lehigh Valley Legion victory over Coplay on Monday.

Brad Buzzard pitched a one-hit shutout as the Carbon Monarchs rolled to an 11-0 victory over Coplay.

Buzzard didn’t allow any walks and struck out five.

The Monarchs (2-0) exploded for six runs in the second inning and put the game away with a five-run fifth.

Zach Searfoss had two hits, one a double, scored twice and knocked in a pair of runs. Ian Hubbard added two hits, two runs and an RBI, while Noah Snisky finished with a single, double, run and RBI.

The winners also received a hit and two runs from Wyatt Zimmerman.
