Schuylkill County Court

Two local residents were admitted into the ARD program in rulings by Schuylkill County President Judge William E. Baldwin May 17.

Robert L. Ebbert II

, 54, Lehighton, was arrested on a theft charge Oct. 11, 2018 by Rush Township Police officer Ryan Oldt. Ebbert will be on probation for 12 months and must pay a $50 a month supervision fee. He must pay $197 restitution to a victim, $50 to CJEA and $350 to the county to defray the cost of ARD. He must also serve 10 hours community service.

Susan L. Reznick

, 35, Tamaqua was arrested on possession of a controlled substance by Tamaqua Police officer Aaron Koehler Oct. 23, 2018. Reznick will be on probation for 12 months and must pay a $50 a month supervision fee. She must pay $100 to the substance abuse education fund, $50 to CJEA and $350 to the county to defray the cost of the program. She must also serve 10 hours community service.

Two Reading residents received county prison sentences in rulings by Baldwin May 24.

Richard B. Simons Jr.

, 57, was arrested Oct. 3, 2015, by Rush Township Police officer Duane Frederick on charges of driving under suspension, improper registration, altered/forged document and required financial responsibility. In a negotiated plea, Simons withdrew a prior not guilty plea and entered a guilty plea on the driving under suspension charge. He must serve 60 days at the county prison and pay the costs of prosecution.

John B. Roman

, 26, was arrested Sept. 14, 2018, by Tamaqua Police officer Karl Harig on charges of corruption of minors, theft, and receiving stolen property. In a negotiated plea, Roman pleaded guilty to corruption of minors. He must serve three to 12 months on the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA and pay the costs of prosecution.
