Andreas VFW

Andreas VFW Post 5069 is sponsoring a car show on Saturday at the New Ringgold Fire Co.

Sign in at 11:30 a.m., sponsored awards at 3 p.m.

The VFW Post is sponsoring the U Are Not Forgotten Dance from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, at the New Ringgold Fire Company. For tickets and reservations, call 570-386-3224 or 570-789-3187. You must have a reservation for this event.

Soup Social

The next monthly community soup social at Trinity United Church of Christ will be held on Saturday. The social will be held from 4-6 p.m. in the social hall.

The meal is free to the public and everyone is welcome to enjoy the soup, desserts, refreshments and time with friends.

St. John Lutheran

The Rev. Phyllis Wolford will officiate at the 9:15 a.m. Sunday service at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, the seventh Sunday of Easter with Holy Communion. Senior recognition and scholarship recipients will be honored during the service.

A finance meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on June 5.

Blood Drive

Tamaqua Masonic Lodge No. 238 will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 15, 7 Shawn Ave., Route 54, Tamaqua.

Bethany EC

The Rev. Kevin Roberts will officiate at the 8 and 10:30 a.m. worship services this Sunday in Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church. Sunday school classes meet at 9:15 a.m.

On Saturday, Couple’s Growth Group will meet for mini golf at Heisler’s from 6 to 8 p.m.

Activities for next week include: Monday, Celebrate recovery 6:30 to 8 p.m.; Wednesday, TYM Remix 6:30 to 8 p.m., GriefShare 7 to 8 p.m., Worship practice 8 to 9 p.m.; June 6, Restore 2019 Leaders Meeting, 7 to 8 p.m.; and June 8, Couples Growth Group Sprint N Sip, TCAC, 6 to 8 p.m.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Communion will be included during the church service, and graduates will be recognized. A congregational meeting will be held immediately following the service.

An all-church prayer meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The basket raffle/social is on June 8 at the New England Fire Company from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Susan Moore will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday, in Calvary Evangelical Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. Holy Communion along with celebration of graduates and celebration of confirmation will be part of this service. There will also be special music. Sunday school classes are held at 9:15 a.m.

There will also be a Sunday evening service with Pastor Moore. Prayer meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
