May 30, 1990 — Cathy Frohnheiser collects three hits, scores two runs and knocks in one to help Northern Lehigh gain a 6-4 victory over Northwestern in the semifinal round of the District 11 Class 2A playoffs. The Bulldogs, coached by Dennis Hock, break a tie game in the fifth inning when Frohnheiser singles and scores on Aileen Gula’s liner to right. Frohnheiser gives her team an insurance run in the sixth with an RBI single that plates Rhonda Reitz. After a shaky start, Nickey Warmkessel doesn’t allow a run over the final four innings to gain the win. Tonia Frey also chips in with two hits and a run.
