Panther Valley graduate honored by students

Allison Fredericks, formerly of Lansford, was recently honored as part of a tuition contest that one of her students won.

Fredericks was the subject of her former student’s essay for a $1,000 scholarship contest by Fetterman and Associates of Palm Beach, Florida. She taught the student math in sixth grade, and he is now is a graduating senior.

Fredericks is the former Allison Collevechio. She and her husband, Matthew, currently live in Jupiter, Florida.

Fredericks is a 2002 graduate of Panther Valley High School and a 2006 graduate of Kutztown University.

Following graduation, she has taught sixth-grade math at Anderson Middle School in the Martin County Schools, as well as Independence Middle School in the Palm Beach County Schools and has been named Teacher of the Year in both districts.

Fredericks was also honored in 2017 as one of the highest impact teachers in Florida by the Florida Department of Education.

She is the daughter of Gwyneth and Kevin Collevechio of Lansford.
