Pa. man accused of suffocating infant son

EFFORT (AP) — State police say a Pennsylvania man has been accused of smothering his infant son after threatening to kill him and another child when he could not find drugs that were hidden.

Police say Christian Tuliszewski, 24, of Monroe County, threatened to starve and suffocate the children in texts to their mother days before she found the 6-month-old blue and unresponsive last May.

Easton Express Times reports that Tuliszewski and 24-year-old Samantha DeFrancesca, also of Monroe County, face charges for their son’s death.

Both were already facing child endangerment charges for using heroin and other drugs in the hours and days before the baby died. But a year-long investigation led to the current charges.

Messages were left seeking comment with lawyers for both Tuliszewski and DeFrancesca, who are currently jailed.
