Bill Mlkvy, Nicole Levandusky part of District 11 Hall of Fame class

District 11 has announced its 2019 Hall of Fame class.

This year’s 17-member class includes a pair of Times News area inductees — Bill Mlkvy and Nicole Levandusky, who are both representing Palmerton High School.

Inductees were selected from nominations made by member schools, officials’ chapters, and media membership. Nominees are selected on their accomplishments on the high school level and are not inclusive of accomplishments outside of high school athletics.

The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Conference Center Lehigh Valley in Breinigsville. Dinner will precede the induction ceremony.

Tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased by contacting District 11 Chairman Bob Hartman at hartmanb@whitehallcoplay.org. The deadline to purchase tickets is Oct. 1.

This is the 2nd Annual Hall of Fame ceremony. Last year’s inaugural class included local inductees Bob Mlkvy of Palmerton High School, Diane Decker of Marian High School, and Allysa Vavra of Panther Valley High School.

Constituencies may nominate additional athletes by completing the forms located on the District 11 website (www.districtxi.com). The nomination deadline for each class is May 1 of the induction year.
