May 21, 1965 — Roger Paules allows just four hits over eight innings as Palmerton gains a 3-1 victory over Jim Thorpe. Paules gives up one walk while striking out six, and retires the Olympians in order in the eighth after the Blue Bombers plate a couple runs in top half of the frame. Todd Becker ignites the winning rally with a double. Palmerton eventually loads the bases and a line drive to center off the bat of Paules is dropped, enabling two runs to score. Bob Branch contributes an RBI single, while Connie Rehrig adds a hit and a run. For Thorpe, Keith Miller finishes with two hits and an RBI.
